Welcome friends.
Today I choose to talk to you about channelling. Those of you who are familiar with my words in this place will know that this is a change of direction - for my words usually communicate ideas about your life and your world and how to be more comfortable with those. It feels like the time is right for change of pace.
So what is this channelling? It is the art of listening – nothing more and nothing less. And each and every one of you reading this has the ability, if you have the desire, to accomplish this. Listening… what for? Listening for the wisdom in the quiet space of your mind. Though in Michael’s case I admit I had to shout a bit above the noise to get his attention, but then he is such a sceptical soul I had to be a bit obvious in order for him to realise I was talking to him. In order to listen you need to be present in the moment. You need to release your own thoughts and anxieties for that moment. You have to open the door and you have to extend an invitation.
So what is that you invite? Guides, Masters, Ascended Masters, Angels, Archangels, dead spirits… I really don’t mind. Invite whatever you believe in. Invite in whatever you think credible, or incredible. I shall let you into a little secret. To all intents and purposes, they are all the same. For what you are really inviting in is Wisdom. And you recognise that it is Wisdom because it is sourced in Love and you will recognise its nature as Loving. Love will never criticise or scold or demean or tell you you have failed in any way. Love will always support and encourage and assist. Love will not tell you you cannot do that. It may point out some consequences that you haven’t thought of and that may be undesirable to you or to others. It may suggest alternative solutions. It may simply enlighten you with more background knowledge so you can make a more informed decision.
An exercise for you. Next time you are seeking a piece of information – something you do not know. Simply quieten your mind and place a request for that information in that quiet space and hold the question in place for a moment and then let it go and make no further attempt to seek the answer. And when the answer is made available to you within the next few days, and it will be (unless there are issues around the question, but that’s another area to look at), smile and give thanks and then dismiss it as coincidence because it was just a TV program or a magazine or book you happened to pick up or a conversation you overheard or a friend who just happened to mention it or you just remembered – nothing mystical at all. Obviously no connection with your request.
But next time you have a question ask it again and be amazed for a moment before you dismiss it. Will it be six or twelve or twenty nine times before you dismiss the dismissal and recognise that there is some connection between your desire for a piece of information and its rapid arrival within your awareness. This is not a game it is the wonder of Life as you haven’t been living it. Get in touch with it, enjoy it, play with it, EXPECT IT.
Now after having familiarised the quite mundane ways that Life communicates to you, you are ready for step two. When you have a problem, something you are struggling with. Then simply ask for a solution in the same way. And observe your world for you will be enlightened. You will be given an answer. The answer may be a metaphor, a story, it may be a symbol that communicates deeper meaning to you, but you will be answered.
Now you may be observing that what I am describing is clearly not the process that Michael is experiencing as he types my words. And you are correct, but you must learn to lose your fear of the magic and you best do that with things that are not too important and in ways that are not too intrusive.
