Standing
The Christmas tree is standing,
with it’s colours of red and gold,
and all around in silence,
my love for you unfolds,
this your token gesture,
of our love that’s shared within,
and with the changing seasons,
our lives as one begin,
you alone chose this, your journey,
placed those keys within my door,
saw the
sunlight on my pillow,
had the courage to close the door,
and now this year is ending,
with its colours of red and gold,
but with each passing moment,
my love, for you, you’ll hold
